Established in 1970, the hotel covers an area of 40 mu (mu, a unit of area (=0.0667 hectares) and has 300 employees. Working hard on daily routines, staff in the Hotel have made remarkable outcomes. Emerging as advanced model figures, the staffs have praised by provincial and municipal units. In May 2013, Ma Chonglin, the sales manager, was awarded as one of the Model Workers of Yuncheng. In May 2014, Wang Gensheng, director of food and beverage, was awarded the medal of Labour. In May 2015, He Shimin, the chef, was also awarded the Labor medal. In March 2016, at the Annual Meeting of the Cooking and Catering Industry Association of Wuhan city, also named as the Yao Wu Cup, Wang Gensheng, general director of cooking and catering, won the best award for Jin dishes research and development. Chef He Shimin won a lifetime achievement award for caterers. Chef Li Leiming, Zhang Guoyong, and Liu Qingyu won the Best Young Chef award. In March 2016, Gao Jianguang, secretary of the general Party branch of the Hotel, was awarded the special dedication award at the Annual Meeting of Hotel Industry Association in Shanxi Province. In the meantime, Wang Gensheng, director of catering, owned the lifetime achievement award. In May 2016, Xue Xiaoming, the vice general manager was awarded the city model worker for his love and dedication to his work. More than 10 news media, such as Shanxi Daily, Shianxi Tourism Hotel News, Hotel Culture, Yuncheng Daily News, and Yuncheng TV, reported the remarkable outcomes achieved by Yuncheng Hotel.
